Pathways & Entry requirements
We offer a number of different pathways to allow you to personalise your studies and reach your desired destination post 18.
Four A-Levels
Entry requirements: Average GCSE point score of 7.5 including a Grade 8 in English Language and Maths, as well as the subject specific requirement for the courses the student wishes to study.
Three A-Levels
Entry requirements: Average GCSE point score of 5.5 including English and Maths at Grade 5 or above, as well as the subject specific requirement for the courses the student wishes to study.
In exceptional cases where English Language and Maths is below a grade 5 but the average point score is 5.5 admission to three A levels may be accepted at the discretion of the Director of Sixth Form, if subject entry requirements are met.
BTEC/CTEC Qualifications plus one A-Level
Entry requirements: Average GCSE point score of 4.5 including Grade 5 (or above) in English Language and/or Maths (depending on the course) as well as the individual subject requirement for the courses applicants wish to study.
BTEC/CTEC Qualifications only
Entry requirements: Average GCSE point score of 4 including grade 4 (or above) in English Language and Maths as well as the individual subject requirement for the courses applicants wish to study.
Broadening Horizons Courses
Students are also required to opt into one of the following Broadening Horizons courses: EPQ, LAMDA Speech and Drama, Sports Leaders, Young Tycoons, Community Service, Debating and Public Speaking or Music Jam. These courses develop transferable skills, such as communication, creativity and teamwork and are highly valued by prospective employers and universities.
