Health & Social Care will prepare you for a career in one of the wide range of related professions.
The AAQ course has a very strong focus on the health and well-being of individuals within society.
It is designed to stimulate and challenge students. It is assessed through a combination of internal assignments and external exams. These activities are enjoyable, interactive and suitable for all learning styles.

How will it be assessed?
Cambridge Level 3 AAQ —two-year linear course. Board: OCR
The AAQ is a level 3 qualification equivalent to one A-Level.
Unit 1 - Principles Of Health and Social Care
Unit 2 Anatomy and Physiology For Health and Social Care
Unit 3 - Person Centered Approach To Care
Unit 4 - Supporting People with Mental Health Conditions
Unit 5 - Supporting people in relation to sexual health, pregnancy and postnatal health
Unit 6 - Supporting healthy nutrition and lifestyles
Where will it lead?
An AAQ Health & Social Care will enable you to enter into employment at various levels in the Health and Social Care sector such as; nursing, midwifery, social work or Early Years Teaching.
The qualification is equivalent to A-level standard and will fulfil UCAS entry requirements to study for Health and Social Care related degrees at University.
Enrichment opportunities
Students will have a range of opportunities including participation at conferences, trips and visiting speakers. Work experience opportunities are available in a number of different Health and Social Care settings.
